🧻Movement - part 1

My final project in graphic communications was an awareness campaign. We had the freedom to choose our topic and I chose Crohn’s and Colitis since I have people in my family who struggle with these diseases and I have witnessed first hand how it can affect someone’s daily life. This specific campaign was aimed towards individuals affected by IBD in an attempt to help them gain confidence and feel better about themselves.

I wanted the tone of the overall campaign to be positive and uplifting to make this subject more approachable. I designed packaging for takeaways, a website, social media ads and posts, posters, and some zines. This was such a fun project and one I think turned out pretty good.

Final Ceramics Project - Porcelain Dolls🪆

So this was a weird one and definitely outside of my comfort zone. For our final, we had the freedom to do whatever we wanted. I have always hated dolls, but I am fascinated by how they work. This is especially true in the case of ball-jointed dolls.

I decided to create these jointed dolls to challenge myself, but wanted to give them a fun twist. I started thinking about the metaphors we use to compare people to animals (I.e. a silly goose, a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a fish out of water, etc.). This felt like a solid idea to build on and an opportunity to give “life” to these phrases.

Overall, I am so proud of how these turned out. They are weird and strange in all of the right ways and, strangely, they don’t creep me out. Maybe one day I’ll get to add to the series.
