Gardenia Medical Care
Gardenia Medical Care is a tela-healthcare company that is passionate about bringing quality healthcare to those who experience language barriers and/or low income. When I first met Yasmilka, the CEO and founder of Gardenia Medical Care, I could tell how passionate she was about the people she was trying to help. I got a lot of inspiration from her for this project and, as in most cases, let her ideas and opinions take the lead. After all, she knows her patients best!
The first thing I put together was a presentation of loose branding ideas. I narrowed this down to two options, the first being more vibrant and colorful to play into the Latin heritage of our audience. The second option (and the one that was chosen) was more subdued to fit into the medical field. Our color palette was later refined to include colors that were sentimental to Yasmilka, but that still tied together well.
Once a rough direction was carved out, we set out to build the logo, logotype, and other brand elements. These would all come together in the business card, letterhead, flyer, and socials. The last piece of the puzzle would be the website, which had the unique ability to shift from English to Spanish.
